Water Based Primers, Coatings, and Primer-Sealers
HAR has been a leader and innovator in water
based Primers and custom niche coatings for over 50 years through
its association and eventual acquisition of Cambridge Coatings. As
an example, HAR used the Cambridge Coatings Dexpotite primer as the
key building block of its two main lines; Primer All 10 and Jay
Cooke’s All Purpose Sign Primer.
Primer All 10 has been formulated to be “simply
the best” water based primer-sealer available anywhere. Primer All
10 is 100% Acrylic and can be used to prime interior and exterior
vinyl, masonry, tile, metals and wood. It seals drywall, spackling
areas, ceiling tiles, plywood, and is a superior undercoat for oil
or latex paints. It is unsurpassed as a stain blocker and is proven
on water stains, rusty nail heads, smoke damage, tannin stains and
many others.
Jay Cooke’s All Purpose Sign Primer is the
industry leading high build, water-based, universal primer, sealer
and stain blocker. Jay Cooke’s Sign primer contains fast dry
convenience with outstanding adhesion, build and sealing
capabilities. Jay Cooke’s sign primer can be used for both interior
and exterior application and can be used with both latex and enamel
topcoats. When used as a primer/sealer on new wood, it provides
excellent tooth for surface coatings and will not cause excessive
grain raising. It is absent of harmful solvents, it is low odor and
requires only water clean-up. Jay Cooke’s All Purpose Sign Primer
fills the need of both the commercial shop and dimensional sign
maker. It is formulated so only one primer is needed for wood,
foam, MDO plywood, fiberboard, vinyl or metal. It provides the best
coverage in the industry, dries quickly, is virtually odorless and
sands beautifully.
