Doors and Millwork Adhesive Applications
HAR offers a full line of adhesives that give entrance, interior and
garage door manufacturers a world of new production alternatives.
From cross-linking, polyvinyl acetate (PVA) adhesives, to water
based polyurethanes (PUDs) and 100% solids liquid moisture curing
urethanes, HAR is prepared to tackle any challenge you may face.
Our one- and two-part PVA adhesives perform well on a wide range of
door core materials, including solid wood, mineral, particleboard,
MDF, honeycomb, extruded polystyrene and wood composites. They also
work well on a variety of skins including wood veneer, high-pressure
decorative laminate, hardboard, molded skins and super high-density
particleboard skins such as the Mende process. These adhesives are
well suited to the many varieties of stiles and rails on the market
today, including those made from poplar, fir, MDF, Meranti, pine,
hardwoods, and engineered components. HAR door adhesives can be
applied at lower coat weight than other types of adhesives and still
form strong bonds quickly. They help preserve the environment while
adding to your quality, efficiency and bottom line.
HAR has a full line of liquid moisture curing polyurethane adhesives
that have found utility in this market. They offer alternatives to
traditional manufacturing practices. These adhesives range from low
to high viscosity and can be easily applied using conventional
application methods. Physical properties include high strength and
flexibility, as well as excellent adhesion to a variety of
substrates such as dimension lumber, plywood, particleboard, paper
overlays, metals, fabrics, foam and plastics.
