HAR is Producing Complimentary Multipurpose Sanitizer For Their Employees and Customers

"In this difficult time, it has been reassuring to see many businesses and kind-hearted people come together to help each other out. This is a small gesture from HAR for our employees and valued customers." - Joe Cerino, President HAR Adhesive Technologies

With the growing concern surrounding COVID-19 across our communities, it has been reassuring to see many businesses and kind-hearted people come together to help each other out. To help curb the concerns around the short supply of sanitizer, our HAR employees are producing around 12,000 bottles of multipurpose sanitizer. Read on to see how this was made possible through the World Health Organization (WHO), several of our valued suppliers, and our dedicated employees.

WHO recently approved a formula for a multipurpose sanitizer. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we use all these ingredients in the production of several of our adhesive formulas. Meaning, we have the raw materials, equipment, and the people to produce our own WHO-approved multipurpose sanitizer. This serves a three-fold purpose:

  • To use for continued heightened cleaning and disinfecting at HAR
  • To share with our employees and their families
  • To share with our valued customers

One difficulty has been obtaining isopropyl alcohol, which is one of the main ingredients in this sanitizer. Not surprisingly, isopropyl alcohol is currently in short supply. Therefore, we are producing the first 12,000 bottles and as more materials become available, we will continue production.

Additionally, as you can imagine, this product is flammable and can only ship via truck. In order to distribute the sanitizer, our salesmen will be reaching out to our customers to either include a case on their truck order or, if possible, to drop them off at their location while maintaining no-contact delivery for the health and safety of the customer and our employee.

Several of our valued suppliers were generous to contribute materials for free or at cost in support of this cause including:

  • Bottles supplied at cost by Kaufman Container - Thank you, Dave Wiktorowski
  • Boxes suppled for free by Legacy Packaging - Thank you, Frank Pearson
  • Labels supplied for free by Allen Graphics - Thank you, Don Allen
  • Isopropyl alcohol supplied at a fair cost by Technical Products, Inc. - Thank you, Tom Perovsek snd Gus Culotta

Our label includes this important message:

This product was manufactured by HAR Adhesive Technologies using a formula supplied by the World Health Organization. It has been made with love and concern and with the hope that it will help our families and friends prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. This product does not warrant or guarantee it will stop the spread of the virus. We simply HOPE it will help. If you are feeling ill, see your doctor immediately.

We hope this small gesture from HAR is helpful during this challenging time. Please be safe, be kind, and take care.
