MATCH THE MELTER
TO THE WAY YOU RUN.
The right adhesive supply unit is not simply the biggest tank you can buy. It is the system that can reliably melt and deliver the adhesive your process requires—at your actual production rate, with the right number of hoses, pumps and controls—without creating unnecessary heat history, maintenance or operator burden.
The HAR Approach
Start with the application. Then size the supply system.
HAR represents the complete ITW Dynatec adhesive supply unit line. We help customers select the system around the adhesive, the required melt and pump rate, line speed, number of application points, operating schedule, available space and desired level of automation.
For many applications, ITW Dynatec's patented Melt-On-Demand design is an important part of the answer. Instead of holding the full hopper of adhesive at application temperature, the system melts only what the process requires.
Why that matters:
Less prolonged heat exposure can mean less char and adhesive degradation, faster startup, lower energy use, improved viscosity consistency, reduced fumes and less maintenance. ITW Dynatec identifies adhesive degradation as a major cause of hot-melt equipment downtime.

Complete ITW Dynatec Supply Unit Line
From 10-pound hoppers to 1,100-pound high-output systems.

How We Think About Selection
The “why” behind each step up in size.
Small / Low Consumption
Dynamini • Simplicity • SR05 / SR10
Choose these when adhesive demand is modest, space is limited and simplicity matters more than multiple pumps or very high melt capacity.
Why: Avoid paying for unused capacity while preserving fast startup and Melt-On-Demand benefits.
Growing Production / More Application Points
SR22 / SR45 • D Series
As lines get faster or add more heads, the system must keep pace without starving the application. This is also where pump choice and metering flexibility become more important.
Why: More capacity, more hose zones and more precise delivery provide room for real production growth.
High Volume / Complex Systems
M35 • M70 • M140 • M210
For coating, laminating, product assembly and other demanding applications, supply becomes a process-control decision—not simply a tank-size decision.
Why: Multiple pumps, PLC control, up to 12 hoses/heads and high-output Melt-On-Demand give greater control over complex operations.
Very High Volume / Continuous Operation
LC Series
When adhesive consumption is measured in hundreds of pounds per hour, melt rate and pump rate become production constraints.
Why: The LC is designed for very large throughput—up to 1,000 lb/hr melt capacity—without abandoning Melt-On-Demand principles.
Reactive Adhesives
PUR Bag Melter • DM5 • DM55
PUR and moisture-reactive materials require different handling than conventional pellet or block hot melts.
Why: These systems are designed around controlled exposure, gentle melting and packaging formats that help protect reactive adhesive performance.
Bulk / Less Operator Handling
DM5 • DM55 • ADS1 Automatic Feed
If operators are frequently hand-filling melters—or if production cannot tolerate low-level interruptions—consider changing how adhesive gets to the supply unit.
Why: Bulk and automatic feed systems can reduce manual filling, spills, contamination and interruptions.
The Dynatec Difference
Melt-On-Demand is not just a feature. It changes what happens to the adhesive.
Conventional tank systems can keep a large mass of adhesive hot for long periods. ITW Dynatec's vertical, largely unheated hopper architecture keeps much of the adhesive cooler—often still solid—until the process actually needs it.

Automatic Adhesive Feed
Sometimes the next step isn't a larger melter. It's eliminating manual filling.
ITW Dynatec automatic feed systems can transfer pelletized adhesive from bulk storage to the supply unit. For the right operation, this can reduce operator handling, spills, contamination and low-level interruptions.
HAR can help determine whether increasing hopper capacity, increasing melt rate or adding automatic feed is the better answer.

HAR + ITW Dynatec
We don't want you to buy more melter than you need—or less than your line requires.
Tell us the adhesive, current consumption, production speed, number of hoses and heads, operating schedule and what you're trying to improve. HAR can help size the supply system around the actual process and connect the melter to the applicators, hoses, controls and feed equipment required to make the complete system work.
