STRATEGIC ADHESIVE PARTNERS

The Right Solution Doesn't Always
Come From One Manufacturer.

HAR manufactures our own adhesive technologies and has a deep, long-standing relationship with H.B. Fuller. But we've never believed that our products—or any one manufacturer's products—are the right answer for every application.

That's why HAR has intentionally developed relationships with manufacturers and technology partners that expand what we can offer our customers.

We choose these partners because each brings something different to the table—a technology, capability, specialty, experience, or flexibility that gives HAR another way to solve a customer's problem.

And those relationships extend beyond adhesives. When the application requires it, HAR sources complementary products and technologies such as specialty oils and lubricants, greases, tapes, and other materials used within the manufacturing process.

We combine these capabilities with HAR's application experience, inventory, equipment knowledge, technical expertise, and responsive support to find the solution that makes the most sense for your process.

H.B. Fuller + HAR

A Partnership That Began in the Spring of 2000.

Our relationship with H.B. Fuller is much more than a traditional manufacturer-distributor relationship.

Since the spring of 2000, HAR has grown to become one of H.B. Fuller's longest-tenured, largest, and most experienced distributors.

Eight-Time H.B. Fuller Distributor of the Year

HAR has been recognized as an H.B. Fuller Distributor of the Year eight times, most recently in 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2024.

We're proud of those awards. But the real value of the relationship isn't measured by its length or the recognition we've received.

It's what all those years of working together allow us to do for our customers.

HAR stocks H.B. Fuller products, provides application and technical support, helps customers evaluate and qualify solutions, serves as a sub-distributor to smaller resellers, and inventories selected lower-volume products used throughout the H.B. Fuller distribution network.

What does that mean for our customers?

H.B. Fuller's global technology, product development, and resources—combined with HAR's experience, inventory, responsiveness, application knowledge, and customer support.

More Technologies. More Resources. More Options.

Our Relationships Give Us More Ways to Solve Your Problem.

Beyond H.B. Fuller, HAR maintains relationships with a carefully selected group of manufacturers and technology partners.

Some give us access to additional adhesive chemistries. Others provide custom-formulation capabilities or highly specialized technologies. And some extend HAR beyond adhesives altogether, giving us access to complementary products such as oils, greases, tapes, and other specialty materials.

We don't choose partners simply to add another name to our line card.

We choose them because they give us another way to help a customer.

Rather than asking you to determine which manufacturer or technology has the answer, HAR brings these capabilities together and helps determine where to look.

Why We Build These RelationshipCustom Formulation & Manufacturing Flexibility

Sometimes an off-the-shelf product simply isn't the answer.

HAR maintains relationships with independent manufacturers that excel at custom formulation, specialized products, smaller production quantities, and manufacturing flexibility.

Combined with HAR's own manufacturing capabilities, these relationships give our technical team additional options when a customer needs an adhesive or specialty material designed around an application rather than selected from a catalog.

Hot-Melt.jpg

Specialty Hot Melt Technologies

Different applications can require very different hot melt technologies, open times, set speeds, temperature resistance, tack, flexibility, and application characteristics.

Our specialty hot melt relationships broaden the technologies available to HAR and give us additional options when a conventional hot melt isn't getting the job done.

Reactive.jpg

Reactive & High-Performance Adhesives

Some applications demand considerably more than a traditional hot melt or water-based adhesive can provide.

Our partner network gives HAR access to reactive polyurethane, structural acrylic, MMA, epoxy, and other high-performance adhesive technologies for demanding industrial applications.

These technologies become particularly valuable when bonding metals, plastics, composites, fiberglass, difficult substrates, or assemblies exposed to heat, chemicals, weather, vibration, or structural loads.

Silicone.jpg

Silicone & Extreme-Environment Solutions

Some applications require an entirely different chemistry.

Specialized relationships give HAR access to silicone adhesives, sealants, and related technologies for applications involving extreme temperatures, UV exposure, chemicals, electrical requirements, difficult substrates, and other demanding environments.

When conventional adhesive technologies reach their limits, these relationships give us somewhere else to look.

Structural.jpg

Structural Bonding & Alternatives to Mechanical Fasteners

Sometimes the opportunity isn't simply choosing another adhesive.

It's changing how two materials are joined.

Our partners give HAR access to structural acrylics, epoxies, and other engineering adhesives that allow manufacturers to evaluate adhesive bonding as an alternative to welding, riveting, screws, gaskets, and other traditional assembly methods or components.

That can create opportunities to reduce weight, simplify assembly, distribute stress, improve appearance, bond dissimilar materials, or eliminate a component.

Paper, Packaging & Converting Specialists

HAR has spent decades serving paper-related industries, so we value relationships that bring additional expertise in packaging, bookbinding, tissue and towel, laminating, converting, and other paper applications.

These relationships expand the technologies available to our team and provide additional options as substrates, production speeds, sustainability requirements, and finished-product expectations change.

lubricants.jpg

Oils, Lubricants, Greases & Specialty Process Materials

Sometimes the manufacturing problem isn't an adhesive problem.

Our relationships extend beyond traditional adhesive technologies.

HAR can source specialized oils, metal-forming and stamping lubricants, greases, and other process materials when they complement the manufacturing applications and industries we support.

A good example is HAR's support of the household appliance industry. Through our relationship with LMI, HAR provides specialized lubricant technologies for metal stamping and cold metal deformation, including water-based emulsions and neat lubricants.

LMI's vegetable-oil-based technologies are designed to provide high lubrication and cooling capacity while offering biodegradability and reduced environmental impact.

The point isn't that HAR wants to become an industrial lubricant company. It's that when a trusted technology can help solve a customer's manufacturing problem, we're willing to look beyond the traditional boundaries of an adhesive supplier.

Tapes & Complementary Bonding Technologies

Sometimes the right bonding solution isn't a liquid or hot melt adhesive.

Tapes and other complementary bonding technologies can offer advantages for particular substrates, assembly methods, production environments, or finished-product requirements.

HAR's relationships give our team additional options when a tape, film, pre-applied technology, or another bonding approach makes more sense than a conventional applied adhesive.

The objective remains the same:

Find the solution that best fits the customer's application—not simply the solution that happens to fit our traditional product offering.

Global Technology & Specialized Resources

Some relationships give HAR access to capabilities that would be difficult for an independent company to develop on its own.

That can include global research and development, highly specialized chemistries, regulatory expertise, advanced testing capabilities, and technologies developed for applications well beyond HAR's traditional markets.

We don't need those resources for every application.

But when we do, we know where to find them.

The HAR Difference

We Don't Start With Whose Product We Want to Sell.

  • We start with what you're trying to accomplish.

  • Sometimes the best solution is an adhesive HAR manufactures.

  • Sometimes it's an H.B. Fuller technology.

  • Sometimes it's a specialized adhesive available through one of our other relationships.

  • Sometimes it's a tape, lubricant, grease, or another specialty material.

And sometimes the adhesive isn't the problem at all.

Because HAR understands adhesives, application equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes, we can look beyond a product number and help determine what really needs to change.

Our relationships give us more technologies. HAR helps determine how to put them to work.

Solutions & Support. Beyond Your Imagination.

Our strategic relationships aren't about how many manufacturers we represent.

They're about how many ways we have to help you.

Tell us about the substrate that won't bond. The adhesive that doesn't set fast enough. The material that changed. The assembly you're trying to redesign. The process material that's creating problems. The product that's suddenly unavailable. Or the manufacturing process you're trying to improve.

We'll determine where to look.

Sometimes the answer will come from HAR. Sometimes from H.B. Fuller. And sometimes it will come from a specialized relationship we've developed because it gives us another capability to offer our customers.

You don't need to know who makes the solution. You just need a partner who knows where to find it.
